Ngā Ringa Whakahaere o te
Iwi Māori (NRW) is a national
organisation based on the Kaupapa of promoting
the benefits of Māori traditional Health and Healing practices for present and future
generations. This mahi centres on improving
health outcomes for Māori by ensuring whānau
have access to traditional Health and Healing
services that meet an agreed set of delivery
standards. Recognition is given to the
cornerstones of:
Taha Hinengaro
(the power of the mind and its emotions)
Taha Tinana
(the body and energy force of the person)
Taha Wairua; and
(the spiritual aspect of life)
Whanaungatanga
(the inter-relationship between ourselves
and the environment)
As a national collective of affiliated
practitioners and supporters, Ngā
Ringa
Whakahaere o te Iwi Māori has been established
to provide a unified voice for Māori traditional
Health and Healing. Its purpose is to:

traditional Health and Healing
practitioners to deliver quality
services |

Improve health outcomes for Māori
whether Whānau, Hapu or Iwi |

Strengthen Māori rangatiratanga
over the Health and Healing process; and |

Uphold The Treaty Of Waitangi |
NRW is a collective of registered Members
governed by their appointed Executive
(Directors) Committee and Taumata Kaumātua,
whose roles are defined in the 2003 Constitution
